Brief information about MHT-CET, AIPMT and AIIMS
MHT-CET
MHT-CET is an entrance examination of the Maharashtra state level. It is popularly known as MHT-CET (Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test). It is conducted by the Departments of Medical and Technical Education and Research, Government of Maharashtra. The PMT portion consists of 200 marks examination which is conducted in two sessions of 1.30 hours each on the same day. The first session comprises 100 questions from Physics and Chemistry for 50 marks each. While the second session comprises 100 questions from Biology for 100 marks that normally includes 50 questions from Zoology and 50 from Botany. On the other hand MHT-CET (SEEE) portion consists of same Physics and Chemistry to be completed in first session while Mathematics test for 100 marks in the third session. Thus, PMT and SEEE parts of MHT-CET consist of 200 marks each. MHT-CET does not have negative marking.

AIPMT
CBSE PMT (Pre-Medical Test) is an entrance examination of the national level. It is popularly known as the AIPMT (All India Pre-Medical Test). It is conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi) every year to fill the 15% of the total seats for medical/dental bachelor degree courses in medical colleges run by Union of India, state government, municipal and other local authorities in India except the state of Jammu & Kashmir. According to the revised scheme, the AIPMT examination is conducted in two stages i.e. the Preliminary Examination and Final Examination.
PATTERN OF AIPMT
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination would consist of one paper containing 200 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology(Botany and Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
The duration of the paper would be 3 hours.
Final Examination
The finally Examination would consist of one paper containing 120 objective type questions(four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology(Botany and Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
The duration of the paper would be 3 hours.
Language of the Question Papers
Candidate can opt for question papers either in English or in Hindi. This option should be exercised while filling in the Application Form. It can not be changed later.

AIIMS PMT
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi established by an Act of Parliament is an autonomous institute of national importance. By virtue of this, every year AIIMS holds an all India entrance test for admission to MBBS programme offered by it. The Institute awards its own MBBS degrees. The MBBS degrees awarded by AIIMS are recognized medical qualifications and entitle the holders same privileges as those attached to the equivalent awards from other Universities of India. Each year 50 seats are available for admission to MBBS course offered by AIIMS. Parts of these seats are filled through a competitive exam conducted by AIIMS itself. The AIIMS-MBBS entrance test is a single-stage examination.
The test is of 3 ½ hours duration consisting of 200 objective (multiple choice and reason-assertion) type questions.
The paper consists of 60 questions each from sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Remaining 20 questions are of General Knowledge type.
There is negative marking for giving incorrect answers.
The question paper of AIIMS entrance examination consists of four parts each of which has an extensive coverage. The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination is that of XII under the 10+2 Scheme.
